Warm Water, Great Availability
Summer in Miami is hot, vibrant, and full of energy. Water temperatures hover around 85 degrees, making it the ideal season for jumping in. Whether your plan is a sandbar day with friends, a snorkeling trip to the reefs near Key Biscayne, or a sunset cruise under golden skies, our fleet is ready.
Summer is also one of the best times for availability. With peak season behind, you have a wider selection of vessels and more flexible scheduling. Morning and early afternoon charters are the sweet spot — the seas are calm, the sun is out, and afternoon thunderstorms typically roll through after 3 PM.
Families, tourists, and groups all find summer to be an excellent time for a private charter. Water toys like Seabobs, jet skis, and floating pools make it easy to turn your charter into a full water sports experience.

Summer Boating Tips
Book Morning Departures
Summer thunderstorms are common after 3 PM. Morning and early afternoon charters get the best weather — calm seas, clear skies, and warm water.
Hydrate and Protect
Miami summer sun is intense. Bring plenty of water, reef-safe sunscreen, hats, and UV-protective clothing. Heat exhaustion can sneak up on you on the water.
Plan for 4th of July Early
Independence Day is one of the most popular boating days in Miami. Fireworks cruises and holiday charters book up weeks in advance. Reserve early to secure your vessel.
Try a Sunset Charter
Summer sunsets in Miami are spectacular. A 3-4 hour evening charter starting around 5 PM gives you golden hour on the water and avoids the midday heat.
Bring Swimwear and a Change of Clothes
You will almost certainly want to jump in. Bring towels, swimwear, and a dry change of clothes for the ride back.
Request Water Toys
If water activities are important to your group, ask about vessels with included water toys — the Galeon 68 and Azimut 103 come loaded.

Summer Charter FAQ
Is summer a good time to rent a boat in Miami?
Yes. Summer offers warm water (85 degrees), great availability, and baseline pricing. Morning conditions are calm and sunny. Afternoon storms are common but brief and predictable — your captain plans the route accordingly.
What if it rains during our summer charter?
Summer rain in Miami is usually a quick afternoon shower that passes in 20-30 minutes. Our larger yachts have enclosed, air-conditioned cabins to wait it out. Your captain will adjust the itinerary to find calmer conditions. If a severe storm is forecast, we reschedule at no extra charge.
Are 4th of July charters available?
Yes — and they are very popular. Watching fireworks from the water is a unique Miami experience. Rates may reflect increased demand on July 4th. We recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance to secure your preferred vessel.
Is it too hot to be on a boat in summer?
The ocean breeze keeps things comfortable while cruising. When anchored, our yachts have air-conditioned cabins. Sport boats offer shade canopies. Bring sunscreen, stay hydrated, and take advantage of the warm water to cool off.
Can kids enjoy a summer boat charter?
Absolutely. Summer is the most popular season for family charters. We have life jackets in all sizes, and our captains are experienced with families on board. Sandbar stops in shallow water are great for kids to wade and play safely.
