Common Questions
Custom Caribbean Term Charter — FAQ
What size super yacht is best for a term charter?
For groups of 4-6 guests, our 80-foot super yachts offer excellent space with 3-4 cabins. For groups of 8-12, the 103-foot or 105-foot vessels provide 5 cabins, multiple deck levels, and significantly more living space. The right vessel depends on your group size, desired comfort level, and budget.
How does the private chef work?
Before the charter, you share your dietary preferences, allergies, and favorite cuisines. Our chef provisions the yacht accordingly and prepares all meals on board — breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Many chefs will also cook fresh-caught fish from the day's fishing. Special dietary needs (vegan, keto, kosher, etc.) are accommodated.
Can we really go to Turks and Caicos from Miami?
Yes. Turks and Caicos is approximately 600 nautical miles from Miami, reachable via a multi-day route through the Bahamas. A 10-14 day charter allows comfortable passage with island stops along the way. It is a true blue-water yachting experience, reserved for longer term charters on capable vessels.
What is the difference between a term charter and a regular charter?
A term charter is a multi-day, fully crewed experience with a dedicated captain, crew, and typically a private chef. Everything is handled — meals, itinerary, customs, provisioning. A regular day charter is a shorter experience (2-8 hours) with a captain and basic crew. Term charters are the premium end of the yachting experience.
How far in advance should we book a term charter?
We recommend booking 2-3 months in advance for peak season (December-April) and 4-6 weeks for shoulder season. Term charters require crew coordination, provisioning planning, and itinerary design — the more lead time, the more customized the experience can be.
