Your Guide to Miami
The vibrant heart of South Florida boating
About the Area
Downtown Miami is the epicenter of the city's maritime culture. The Biscayne Bay waterfront stretches from the American Airlines Arena to the Venetian Causeway, offering unmatched skyline views and direct bay access. This is where the energy of the city meets the calm of the water.
On the Water
A bustling urban waterfront with modern marinas, cruise ships in the distance, and the dramatic backdrop of downtown's glass towers. On any given day, sport boats, yachts, and jet skis share the bay.
Biscayne Bay is generally calm and protected, with minimal swells inside the bay. Average water temperature ranges from 72°F in winter to 86°F in summer. Visibility is excellent most of the year.
Star Island and Fisher Island are 10-15 minutes from downtown marinas. Haulover Sandbar is about 30 minutes north. Key Biscayne and Stiltsville are 20-30 minutes south.
Getting There
Downtown Miami marinas are accessible via I-95, the Metromover, rideshare, and taxi. Paid parking is available at marinas and nearby garages ($7-$30 depending on duration). Rideshare from Miami Beach takes 15-20 minutes.
What Guests Love
- Skyline views that get better the further you cruise into the bay
- Celebrity homes on Star Island visible from the water
- Quick access to both the Haulover Sandbar and Key Biscayne
- Watching cruise ships navigate Government Cut
- Sunset behind the downtown skyline from mid-bay
- Dolphin sightings near Virginia Key and Bear Cut
Before & After Your Charter
- Grab dinner at waterfront restaurants along Brickell or the Miami River after your charter
- Walk the Bayside Marketplace for shopping and live music steps from the marina
- Visit the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) on the waterfront before boarding
- Explore the Wynwood art district, a short ride from the waterfront
Insider Tips
- The bay is calmest before 10 AM — morning charters offer the smoothest ride and best photo conditions.
- Full moon nights on the bay are spectacular — ask about evening charters during full moon weekends.
- Weekday charters from downtown avoid the weekend sandbar rush and often come with better vessel availability.
All vessel categories work well from downtown Miami — sport boats for sandbar runs, mid-size yachts for celebrations, super yachts for corporate events and weddings.

Common Questions
Booze Cruise in Miami — FAQ
Where do boats depart from in Miami?
Depart from marinas along Biscayne Bay, minutes from downtown Miami. Your captain will navigate you past Star Island, Fisher Island, and the Venetian Islands before heading to open water or the famous Haulover Sandbar.
What is the best time of year for a boat charter in Miami?
Year-round, with peak season from December through April when temperatures are mild and rain is rare.
What is included in a booze cruise?
Captain, fuel, and crew are included. We do not provide alcohol — guests bring their own. Coolers and ice chests are available on most vessels. All guests consuming alcohol must be 21 or older per Florida law. BYOB is our policy — bring whatever beverages you want (all guests consuming alcohol must be 21+). Your captain takes you to the best spots for swimming and socializing, often the Haulover Sandbar where food boats come to you. Bluetooth speakers, coolers, and a great attitude are standard on every vessel. The captain can limit alcohol service if safety becomes a concern.
How long should I book a booze cruise for?
Most booze cruises book 4-6 hours — long enough to cruise to a sandbar, anchor, swim, and enjoy the full day without rushing. Bring a cooler full of your favorite drinks and plenty of ice.
Is alcohol provided on the booze cruise?
No — we are BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverages). We do not sell or provide alcohol. Guests bring their own drinks, and coolers are available on most vessels. This keeps your costs down and lets you enjoy exactly what you want. All guests consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age or older per Florida law.
Can the captain stop us from drinking?
Yes. The captain has final authority on all safety matters aboard the vessel. If intoxication-related behavior poses a safety risk, the captain may limit alcohol consumption or terminate the charter early and return to the marina. No refund is issued in this case. Safety is always the top priority.
What should I bring on a booze cruise?
Bring a cooler with your favorite drinks and plenty of ice, snacks or food (or arrange catering through us), sunscreen, towels, and a swimsuit. A waterproof phone case is a great idea. Glass containers are prohibited on sport boats (26'-37') for safety — use cans or plastic bottles instead.
