CREATING THE BEST DAY ON THE WATER POSSIBLE FOR YOU IS WHAT WE LOVE TO DO.
BELOW ARE A FEW FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW YOUR YACHT CHARTER DAY WORKS, GETTING READY AND WHAT TO EXPECT.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Miami?
- The cost of renting a yacht in Miami varies based on the yacht size, amenities, and duration of the charter. Additional factors such as weekend or holiday bookings, catering services, and water activities can also influence the final price. Typically, prices start around $1,500 for a half-day charter on smaller yachts and can exceed $10,000 for a full day on luxury or larger vessels. For the most accurate pricing, contact our team, and we’ll provide a custom quote based on your preferences.
2. Can I have more than 13 guests on the yacht?
- No. By law, U.S. Coast Guard regulations limit the number of passengers on a yacht to 13, including yourself. This rule applies to private charters, regardless of the size of the vessel. If your group exceeds 13 people, we can arrange for multiple yachts to accommodate everyone comfortably, ensuring a seamless experience for larger events or celebrations.
3. What are the available departure times?
- We aim to be as flexible as possible with our departure times. Generally, our charters are available for 2-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour, and full-day (8-hour) bookings. The most common departure times start around 9 AM for morning charters and 2-3 PM for afternoon or sunset trips. However, availability may vary on weekends or holidays when demand is higher. If you're planning a special event or have a specific schedule in mind, contact us early to lock in your preferred departure time.
4. Where do we board the yacht?
- We have several convenient boarding locations across Miami, including South Beach, Downtown Miami, and nearby marinas. Once your booking is confirmed, we will provide the exact address, detailed directions, and parking instructions to ensure a smooth and easy boarding process. If you have a preference for a particular marina or need additional assistance with transportation to the dock, please let us know—we are happy to accommodate.
5. What should I bring with me?
- On the day of your charter, you will need to bring a government-issued ID and the credit card used for the booking. Additionally, if you plan to swim or sunbathe, bring your own towels, sunscreen, and swimwear. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages (please note that red wine and other staining drinks are not permitted). If you’d like to add catering or have specific dietary requirements, we can help arrange food and beverage options in advance to ensure your day is stress-free.
6. Can I choose my captain?
- Yes, after booking, we will send you a list of experienced, licensed captains who are available on the day of your charter. You can select a captain based on their qualifications and availability, ensuring that you have a skilled professional to guide you throughout your day on the water. If you have any specific requests or preferences, please inform us, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
7. How do I pay my final balance?
- The final balance is typically due 48 hours before departure for yachts under 70ft, and 72 hours before for yachts 70ft and above. Payment can be made via credit or debit card, Zelle, wire transfer, or cryptocurrency (Bitcoin or Ethereum). For multi-day charters or larger vessels, special payment terms may apply, which we will outline during the booking process. It’s essential to ensure payment is completed on time to avoid cancellations or forfeiture of your reservation.
8. Can I bring my own food and drinks?
- Absolutely! You are free to bring your own food and beverages onboard. Many of our guests opt to bring personal favorites, such as snacks, sandwiches, and beverages. However, to maintain the yacht's cleanliness and avoid damages, we kindly ask that you avoid bringing red wine or any drinks that may easily stain. If you prefer a hassle-free experience, we can arrange professional catering services tailored to your preferences. Whether you need gourmet meals or simple platters, we’ve got you covered.
9. What happens in case of bad weather?
- Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. If hazardous weather conditions (such as strong winds or storms) occur on the day of your charter, we offer rescheduling options or full refunds. Weather-related cancellations are subject to certain conditions, which we will discuss in advance. For added peace of mind, we partner with travel insurance providers like AIG to offer coverage for unexpected cancellations due to inclement weather. Contact us for details on how to protect your trip.
10. What if I am late for my charter?
- Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds or reschedule charters for late arrivals caused by flight delays, traffic, or other unexpected travel issues. To avoid any problems, we recommend allowing extra time for your arrival in Miami, especially if you're traveling during peak times. If you think you may be delayed, please notify us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate adjustments, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
11. Can I cancel my booking?
- We understand that plans can change. For yachts under 70ft, you can cancel up to 48 hours before departure, and for larger yachts (70ft+), cancellations must be made 72 hours prior. A small cancellation fee may apply (typically 10% or $100, whichever is less). If you cancel within the allowed window, you’ll receive a refund minus this fee. Cancellations made outside this window will forfeit any payments. For full details, please refer to our cancellation policy, which will be shared during booking.
12. What is included with my yacht rental?
- Every charter includes a licensed captain and crew, fuel for local cruising, complimentary ice, water, and soft drinks. Our larger yachts are fully equipped with luxury amenities, including air conditioning, kitchens, bathrooms, and spacious decks for lounging. Most yachts also feature high-quality sound systems, so you can connect your playlist and enjoy your favorite music while cruising.
13. Is gratuity included?
- No, gratuity is not included in the base price of your yacht rental. We recommend tipping the crew 15-20% of the charter price based on your experience. Gratuities can be given directly to the crew in cash or added to your final bill upon request. Please check with your booking coordinator if you’d like to know more about tipping etiquette.
14. What should I avoid bringing?
For the safety and cleanliness of our yachts, please refrain from bringing the following items:
- Red wine or any staining drinks
- Self-tanning oils or bronzers (which can stain upholstery)
- Denim or jean clothing, as the dyes may transfer when wet
- Temporary hair dyes or wigs that could stain when damp
- Balloons (per city ordinances near marinas)
- Open-flame items like BBQ equipment or hookahs
- Glitter or confetti
- Pets
We want to ensure your experience is as enjoyable as possible, and adhering to these guidelines will help us maintain the yachts in pristine condition for all guests.
15. How do I change my booking?
- We understand that you might want to make adjustments to your booking, whether it's upgrading to a larger yacht or changing the time of your charter. As long as no conflicting bookings exist, you can change your reservation up to 72 hours before your scheduled departure. Changes are allowed once per booking, and any price differences must be paid by the charterer. Contact us to discuss any changes, and we will accommodate as best as possible.
